Principal urbanization axes and spatial development in Central Europe confront transnational spatial policy-makers with the task to design trans-border cooperation. The development guidelines are concerned to two major urbanization and industrialization axes and other guidelines with special functions of capital cities and other leading agglomerations. A challenge for the EU enlargement is to develop a framework covering entire Central European macroregion. - (MS)
