Reproductive behaviour of the population in the Czech Republic in the 1990s

Description :
The reproductive model established in the post-war period, outlasted until the end of 1980s, is clearly transformed since 1992. Pattern of early timing and high prevalence of marriage and childbearing has been replaced by a pattern of later marriage and delayed childbearing. The trend towards low fertility rate has been noticeable especially in big cities. Changes in order of districts by the fertility rates are apparent. - (MS)
