South African environmental policy on the move

Description :
The South African constitution was framed in the context of attempting to promote citizen empowerment and the transition to sustainability. The constitution and the 1998 National Environmental Management act are examined. The relationship between implementative politics and transformational politics are explored and indications of future conflicts are indicated. - (AJC)
