Auteurs :
BROOKS, S.J.
HARRISON, P.J.

Description :
Town and country planning came into its own in the post Second World War reconstruction era. In Natal Province, South Africa, new institutions for regulating urban and rural environments also emerged in this era. The paper considers the extent to which developments in natal were influenced by planning debates in Great Britain, the metropolitan power. Similarities and key differences between the institutions of control in the two countries are identified and explained. - (AJC)
