Organic remains in Finnish subglacial sediments

The aim of this paper is to demonstrate the sedimentology of the Harrinkangas formation and the origin of the enclosed organic remains. This esker contains peat layers and is covered by thin silty till. The AA. argue that it is possible to explain this stratigraphy as a result of redeposition of organic matter through subglacial processes during the last glaciation.
