Unstable behavior of the Laurentide ice sheet over deforming sediment and its implications for climate change
Auteur :CLARK, P.U.
Description :
The A. proposes that rapid oscillations of the Laurentide ice sheet margin are not climatic in origin but instead reflect inherent instability associated with deforming sediment dynamics. Such behavior would have played a critical role in affecting climate in the North Atlantic region by controlling variable fluxes of icebergs and meltwater, as well as meltwater routing.
