Description :
The purpose of this paper is to contribute to developing criteria for evaluating the validity of radiocarbon dates of lake sediments from basins in calcareous terrain. In particular, the AA. test the hypothesis that the 13C content of lake sediments can provide a reliable indicator of potential old carbon error.
