Description :
During the first three field seasons of the Italian Program of Research in Antarctica (1985-1988), the AA. studied emerged beaches along the coast of Terra Nova Bay, Victoria Land, and obtained 14C ages allowing the construction of a relative sea-level curve. Here the AA. summarize the main results and discuss their relevance for the Holocene history of Antarctica, particularly for the Ross Sea sector of the continent.
