This paper presents the state of knowledge on the evolution of river valleys in the Upper Quaternary. It is followed by full index of localisations, where dated Vistulian and Holocene sediments were found. The transformation of river valleys is related to climatic and tectonic factors. The first one is reflected in great number of cuts and fills. The last tendencies to aggradation or erosion are connected with human intervention. - (DG)
