This paper provides an examination of the Beremend loess exposure in the southern part of the Villány Hills (S-Hungary). Author gives concrete figures on the physical and chemical analysis of the loess and states, that the formation of the series of strata found in the exposure is likely to have started in the era close to Brunhes-Matuyama limit and continued until the Pleistocene. - (Zoltán Kovács).
