According to the author the concept of image proposed that a behavior is dependent upon an image built up of information derived from social and physical milieux. That is to say, an image is both and individual phenomenon and cultural phenomenon. Author investigates the role of images in the development of stereotypes towards regions and ethnic groups in Eastern Slovakia and Northeastern Hungary. - (Zoltán Kovács).
