This paper highlights some of the spatial aspects of the international passenger traffic on Hungarian border crossings. One of the most visible consequences of the political change in Hungary was the rapid increase of international passenger traffic. The analysis of the intensity and structure of international passenger traffic highlights important economic and social tendencies e.g. regions and towns located near the Austrian border have much better chances to cooperate with western partners than settlements in the Eastern part of the country. - (JS)
