Description :
The aim of this paper is to ascertain precisely the roles played both by permanent conditions (geological structure, geomorphological setting, angles of slope) and triggering factors (anthropogenic interference, rainfall) in the occurrence of landslides in an area located north of Lisbon. The main objectives of this study were : the survey, classification and mapping of landslides; and the correlation between the temporal distribution of landslides and the rainfall regime.
