Description :
The primary goal of this paper is to offer a standard yet flexible approach to karst environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and to show how geomorphological methods can be used to develop more comprehensive and quantifiable EIAs in karst areas. The following strategy is based on a detailed study of over 700 caves and 650 karst features along the southeastern margin of the Edwards Plateau, Texas, USA, and is also supported by additional karst research and observations in several states and countries.
