Description :
This paper examines the variability of North American relative sea level (RSL) curves, which are of 3 general forms, and comment on the probable causes and significance of these variations. The data presented in this paper come from the RSL database for northern North America. The AA. present mainly a synthesis of the raw data rather than a review of the literature. The database currently contains over 7000 radiocarbon age determinations, they use the radiocarbon time scale throughout.
