Overview of the current state of Canadian geomorphic research related to chemical weathering in southeastern Canada. Three spatial and temporal contexts have been chosen as a framework for assessment of the importance of chemical weathering : the formation of bedrock morphology by chemical weathering; occurences, characteristics and age of saprolites; contemporary chemical denudation rates.
