Quaternary break-out flood sediments in the Peshawar basin of northern Pakistan

Description :
The physical settings of the rhythmite exposures in the Peshawar basin are discussed herein and evidence is presented that supports the hypothesis that these sediments were deposited as a result of periodic catastrophic floods, not lacustrine processes.
