A 14,000 year sediment yield record from western Germany based on annually laminated lake sediments

Auteur :
ZOLITSCHKA, B.

Description :
The reconstruction of sediment yield data for the catchment of Lake Holzmaar, in the Eifel mountains, is based on high resolution geochemical and physical analyses of an absolutely dated sediment record. These data, for the last 13,840 years, are used in combination with other palaeoenvironmental data, to discriminate the natural background level from accelerated erosion. Thus it is possible to determine the reaction of the catchment to natural and anthropogenic disturbances.
