Description :
This paper reports the results of a series of experiments on the downslope movement of rock fragments due to trampling by sheep and goats on a scree slope near Aglasun, Turkey. The experimental results are used to obtain a first estimate on the intensity of the process which can then be compared to the reported intensity of other processes causing the movement of rock fragments on steep slopes. Furthermore, the effect of rock fragment movement on downslope and vertical sorting are analysed.
