Preglacial surface remnants and Quaternary glacial regimes in northwestern Sweden

Description :
The AA. present a detailed map of the distribution of preglacial surface remnants in the Kebnekaise region of northwestern Sweden. They discern 4 important large-scale geomorphological units, each representing a specific set of erosional agents and formative conditions. The AA. interpret the landscape evolution in terms of configuration, basal thermal regime, and event duration of 2 ice-sheet types and a cirque glaciation type event. Morphological impacts of intervening intervals of subaerial exposure are also discussed.
