Description :
This study describes the fluvial geomorphology along the Knabeåna-kvina rivers downstream of the Knaben Molybdenum Mines, Southern Norway. Special attention is paid to the changes caused by introduction of tailings with elevated molybdenum concentrations, in a drainage basin with few natural sediment sources. Implications for management of contaminated sediments are given in the conclusions.
