Description :
The purpose of this paper is twofold: 1) to show, how, in a rocky arid environment, (Negev desert), burrowing activity of Isopods (a desert species wood lice) and digging activity of Porcupines control, at the short time scale, soil erosion processes and rates; 2) to analyse the long term effect of bioturbation on the spatial distribution of water resources and soil development.
