Description :
This paper examines the consequences of geomorphologic and hydrologic processes in the establishment of ecologic pattern and process. Specifically, the AA. will focus on the barrier islands of Virginia's Eastern Shore at the site of the National Science Foundation's Long-term Ecological Research site on the Virginia Coast Reserve.
