Description :
The chronology of volcanic events and the gradual retreat of the glacier are associated with a group of landforms that were formed mainly by interposing volcanic and glacial processes. This paper proposes a model of the post-Little Ice Age geomorphic evolution of Popocatepetl, based in the chronologic succession of its landforms. Most of the data were obtained from references in historical sources and aerial photographs dating from 1945. This information was supplemented with data from fieldwork conducted between 1992 and 1995.
