Description :
This paper reports results from detailed pollen and charcoal analyses of closely spaced Wright square-rod piston cores from a fen in Canal de la Puntilla in the Llanquihue-age moraine belt, about 3 km from the modern lake shore of Lago Llanquihue near Bahía Octay. This study is based on considerable previous work on the vegetational history of the Chilean Lake District and Isla Grande de Chiloé. Discussion about the warming and cooling events.
