Description :
Two perched dune systems are investigated in the Baie d'Audierne (Finistère, northwest France) employing geomorphologic and stratigraphic surveys, including radiocarbon (C 14) and biostratigraphic (molluscan) analyses. The sites selected are Plage de Mezpeurleuch and Plage de Guendrez. The AA. aim to establish the maximum age of the perched dune systems, to investigate their palaeoenvironmental development, to use these data to model their geomorphological evolution, and to consider the regional and wider implications of these findings.
