The most recent Italian set of rules for the implementation of small and middle size enterprises, brings to the identification of four industrial districts. The AA. analyse their territorial composition and their nature and make a reflection on the various aspects of localism as an endogenous growth factor. The establishment of the district in Vibrata valley is quite spontaneous.
