Description :
This paper concerns the Teda, a Saharian nomadic people whose area extends to southern Lybia, northern Chad including the Tibesti mountains and some parts of eastern Niger : their economy is based on camels and dates, they speak the Tedaga language and belong to the Tubu ethnic family. They seem to derive from a very ancient mixture of races, and have Sudanese-Nilotic characteristics with evidence of North African influences.
