Description :
This paper describes the nature of valley fill deposits at the base of the escarpement in part of Bega catchment. Extensive valley fills, up to 12 m deep but no greater than 300 m wide, have formed in the upper reaches of Wolumla Creek, a north-south aligned subcatchment. The sedimentary character, nature of depositional processes, and age structure of the valley fill deposits are analysed.
