Bed material transport estimated from the virtual velocity of sediment

Description :
This study evaluates the possibility of determining bed material transport using the virtual rate of travel of individual particles, dimensions of the active layer of the streambed, and porosity and density of streambed material. Magnetically tagged stones and scour indicators were employed in Carnation Creek, British Columbia, to quantify transport rates.
