Description :
This paper presents results of a preliminary investigation into the nature of rock weathering and chemical crust formation. The investigation is aimed at establishing an understanding of the fundamental geochemical processes operating in the valley. Static studies provide baseline information on the geochemical process system, essential for understanding process responses to environmental change.
