Manual and automated interpolation of climatic and geomorphic statistical surfaces: an evaluation

Description :
This study empirically investigates the differences between manual and automated isarithmic interpolation. It also points out potential weaknesses in current interpolation algorithms and suggests ways of handling these problems. The results shoud have direct implications for the development of expert systems for spatial interpolation.
