Description :
As the economies of the region were drawn into the world economy, the structure and geography of trading patterns was altered. The A. examines those changes through an evaluation and analysis of trading statistics for the states of north-west Borneo. The articulation of indigenous and foreign capital and production systems was much more complex than models of economic dualism and core-periphery linkages would suggest.
