Description :
This paper presents a general model, which only requires total atmospheric ozone depth, hourly cloud cover, and snow depth. It is a suitable model for calculating ultraviolet radiation in the 290 to 325 nm waveband for southern Canadian conditions. Calculations are compared with measurements at Bedford (Nova Scotia), Downsview (Ontario), Winnipeg (Manitoba), and Stony Plain (Alberta).
