Description :
This paper begins with a brief descrition of ENSO. The procedures of this study include : process of regionalization, development of the cumulative annual SOI, determination of the tornado season and study period, and method of statistical analysis. The results section presents the statistical findings while, in the discussion, possible synoptic-scale and thermodynamic explanations for the results are given. The conclusions section summarizes the study and challenges the reader to develop a broad balanced approach to the ENSO phenomenon.
