The role of stratospheric intrusions in Colorado cyclogenesis

This paper attempts to clarify the extent to which intrusions of stratospheric air are associated with ordinary (non-explosive) cold-season Colorado cyclogenesis and compare the magnitude and motion of these intrusions (when present) with the intensity and timing of cyclone deepening.
