Measured altitudinal profiles of UV-B irradiance in Hawai'i

This paper presents the results of measurements taken between December 18, 1994, and January 26, 1996, documenting elevation profiles of UV-B irradiance under clear-sky as well as other sky conditions in Hawai'i. Data were obtained at sea level and 3,400 m elevation location over several months and on several midday transects between sea level and 4,205 m. Broadband solar and photosynthetically active radiation were measured concurrently on the same-day transects for comparison.
