Geomorphic aspects of stream-channel restoration

Auteur :
MORRIS, S.E.

Description :
This paper illustrates existing stream-channel design strategies and provides examples of their application to specific restorations. Inasmuch as contemporary restoration practice attempts to mimic natural fluvial forms and processes, the issues of channel hydraulic geometry, plan form, sediment transport, and floodplains all are relevant to this design process.
