Description :
The relief development of the region was in the Quaternary period more influenced by tectonic movements than by climatic oscillations. A more intensive erosion due to younger upliftings erased traces of relief. Considering the character of accumulations, it can be supposed that an intensive uplifting of Ore Mountains (Krušné hory) went on in the Middle Pleistocene, beginning in the Riss. Holocene processes seem to be less intensive. - (MS)
