Description :
This review of the recent scientific literature on climate change focuses on one aspect of the issue which has come to the fore over the last three years, the role of atmospheric aerosols in contemporary cimate change. The emergence of these particulates as a significant modifier of the atmospheric and climatic environment has, at the same time, offered new opportunities for detecting human-induced climate change in the observed record and also complicated the prediction of future climate change and its impacts.
