A conceptual model for gully erosion evolution conceives that, on the same hillslope, erosive incisions connected and disconnected to the main drainage net may integrate into a unique channel. At the moment of the integration, the synergies of overland flow would trigger a stage of accelerated erosion rates. - (AJC)
