Description :
Paleoecological analyses were carried out in order to reconstruct temperature and salinity ranges and the paleo-position of the fluvial-marine front of the Río de la Plata estuary. Paleoclimatic inferences suggest possible correlations with events of global climatic amelioration in the late Pleistocene. At that time the fluvial-marine front of the Río de la Plata was displaced much further northwestward than previously supposed.
