Description :
The aim of this paper is to use marine terrace age and distribution to identify the pattern of the late Quaternary deformation in the Crescent City coastal plain. The AA. determined how many marine terraces make up the Crescent City coastal plain, characterized the soils developed on their surfaces, investigated the cover stratigraphy and the buried bedrock topography underlying the terraces, and estimated terrace ages.
