Description :
In this paper, the AA. further analyze the rate and timing of deglaciation based on dates from 2 other lakes in Valle de las Morenas, and they reconstruct glacial extents during 3 past glacier advances. They report new estimates of equilibrium line altitudes (ELAs), calculated separately for each advance by fitting published vertical mass balance profiles of tropical glaciers to their reconstructed glacier surfaces. Their method also yields net accumulation estimates, providing a means for inferring relative precipitation as well as ELA-derived temperature depressions during the 3 advances.
