Paleoclimatic significance of late Quaternary lacustrine and alluvial stratigraphy, Animas Valley, New Mexico

Auteur :
KRIDER, P.R.

Description :
The purpose of this study is to use lacustrine and alluvial stratigraphy, landforms, soil evidence, and radiocarbon ages to econstruct the latest Quaternary geologic history of the southern Animas Valley, New Mexico. Because the late Quaternary geologic history is directly related to the climatic history of the region, this study also presents a late Quaternary paleoclimatic reconstruction for southeastern Arizona and southwestern New Mexico.
