This paper reports results, related to paleoclimatic events during the last 30,000 years, obtained from isotope studies of deep confined groundwater of southern India. This is the first study of the confined groundwaters of southern India that identify chronologically the arid, transition, and wet but unstable climatic events of the last 30,000 yr.
