Description :
The AA. describe 2 detailed pollen records of the late-glacial period from western Oregon. They provide information on late-glacial variations in vegetation and climate and on the extent and character of Younger Dryas cooling in the Pacific Northwest. They compare them with published data from the the Pacific Northwest and northeast Pacific. A synchronous response at both sites would suggest a regional climatic change. Asynchrony would reflect variations in local climate conditions and environmental factors.
