Paleoenvironmental changes during the last 4000 yr in the Tigray, Northern Ethiopia

Description :
In this study, a high-resolution sequence of the main degradational and stability phases during the past 4000 yr in Northern Ethiopia, and in the Ethiopian Highlands in general, is presented. The paleoenvironmental reconstruction involved the use of geomorphological, sedimentological, geochronological, and geoarcheological techniques. The infilled valley sequences have been interpreted as reflecting changes in climate and land use.
