Description :
A 13,000-year history of late-Quaternary vegetational and climatic change has been derived from lacustrine sediments from Pleasant Island in the Glacier Bay region of southeastern Alaska.In the process, this study aims to address the issues of conifer refugia and migration, to look at periods of abrupt climatic change, and to assess biotic versus climatic control over vegetation change.
