Description :
The macrofossil record at the study site provided evidence for dry conditions on dune ridges during the mid-Holocene hemlock decline. The purpose of this study was to demonstrate that the environment, especially the soil moisture regime, can be inferred from several peat micromorphological features (e.g., biological activity, iron oxides, clastic supply).
